Bravara is a premium lager imported direct from Brazil by Halewood International limited, a producer and supplier of wines and spirits based in Huyton, Merseyside.
Halewood asked Frank to design and produce the UK website for Bravara, a product they had introduced to the UK in 2004. Halewood’s marketing team felt that the previous site had not communicated with the target audience at several levels. They wanted a site that could integrate with their marketing and publicity events calendar and would enhance brand recognition. They wanted to cement the positioning of the brand as Brazil’s original and best loved beer and capture elements of Brazil most attractive to the intended customer profile. The site needed to capture the essence of Brazilian popular culture whilst promoting this as a brand value desirable to the target consumer group.
Frank designed a site based on themes of Brazilian culture, focusing on the beach, music and good times. A virtual beach bar was designed along with a character led animated introduction guiding users through the site. Site language and content was used to speak directly to the target age group specified in the consumer profile, site treatment positioned Bravara as a premium brand with a corresponding retail price. Frank designed site features users could interact with, such as event led galleries highlighting customers from promotional events and a postcode locator showing users their nearest product retailers. A members area enabled users to access exclusive competitions, with the data captured being used by Halewood for future E-marketing campaigns. Molson, Bravara’s Canadian license holders, named the UK site Best Global Bravara Website. |
