Forever Manchester:
Frank Design are proud to support Forever Manchester, a fundraising initiative from The Community Foundation for Greater Manchester. The main function of the Community Foundation is to support grass-root community regeneration by providing grants to local community and voluntary groups across Greater Manchester. The grants that CFGM make to local community groups come from funds donated by individuals and organisations. CFGM then act as the vital link between the donors and the groups, matching funds to local causes and managing the process from start to finish. CFGM is a vitally important charity to Manchester, and we're proud to be the charities digital partner. We donate a percentage of Frank Design's annual profits to Forever Manchester as our supported charity. Please click here to view the site.
First Impressions:
The First Impressions project was initiated by two pupils that were in danger of permanent exclusion from a Stockport High School. Pupils from mixed faith schools and different economic backgrounds worked together to improve their photography, video production and sound recording skills in a truly collaborative, creative, pupil-led project. Pupils received multi-media skills training, designed to boost their technical knowledge, creativity, confidence and self-esteem. They then co-ordinated a series of community interviews which were recorded in their chosen medium, then added to a website that they curated and presented to a panel of school VIP's. To provide equality of opportunity to the local community and to stay at the forefront of design we strongly believe in engaging with and supporting the freshest local talent. Frank Design has helped a number of students from UCLAN and MMU to take their first steps on the design ladder. Manchester Metropolitan University alone enrolls 3,500 design students a year and with such a wealth of creative minds, new ideas and innovative ways of working on our doorstep, we're exceptionally lucky to be able to help the hottest and most enthusiastic talent gain valuable experience within the industry.
