The Brief
The recruitment team at RBKC contacted Frank Design to receive help and assistance with a longstanding problem. Each time a new recruit starts at the Borough, they receive a high volume of new starter information. The paper based information is time consuming to read, expensive to produce (and post) and environmentally unfriendly. RBKC wanted to provide all information for new employees in an interactive cost effective format that would be easier to use, but were concerned that new starter information has to be updated so regularly that any duplication must be in short runs, which made the business case for the project problematic.
The Welcome CD-R has enabled RBK&C to massively reduce postage costs and cut down on paper usage.
RBKC have produced multiple versions of the Welcome CD-R, drastically reducing their annual print costs whilst producing a more durable product that is easier to use and retain.
The Solution
Frank designed and produced a bespoke multi-media CD-R for RBK&C Recruitment with a flexible framework and build structure. The RBKC Welcome CD-R collates all the information new employees need before starting work at the borough in one interactive, user-friendly package. Having previously provided this information in paper-based multi-document format, the CD-R has enabled RBK&C to massively reduce postage costs and cut down on paper usage. The structure of the CD is easy to update, so that each time policy change, a new run of CD's can be produced quickly and cost effectively.
