Frank Design is Forever Manchester

Forever Manchester is a brand new fundraising initiative from The Community Foundation for Greater Manchester. The purpose of the initiative is to raise four million pounds over four years of fundraising via individual and corporate donations, sponsors, events and shows. When the total figure has been raised, the government will match fund, providing Forever Manchester with eight million pounds of investment in local initiatives, worthy causes and community projects. Frank Design were asked to work with Fido PR and TCFFGM to design and develop a site worthy of this most deserving of causes. Needing to enthuse and engage the whole of Greater Manchester, from individual to corporate donors, Forever Manchester wanted a site that would appeal to all potential supporters and would enable a broad cross section of Greater Mancunians to get involved and contribute donations, time, ideas or just enthusiasm. The site needed to be interactive and inclusive, highly stylised and remain a key component in raising awareness and publicity for Forever Manchester.

Frank designed and built a HTML and Flash animated site based around the concept of philan-therapy and taking influences from a famous Ian Brown quote; 'Manchester has everything.. the only thing that's missing is a beach'. An interactive map of Greater Manchester was designed which enables site users to explore Manchester Island, select their choice of building and then add to their chosen area within Greater Manchester. For a small donation, users can then customise their building, adding their choice of text and a website link if required. The website provides an integral part of Forever Manchesters fund raising strategy and can process automated donations from users, providing a 24-7 fundraising resource that generates donations and opens a new revenue stream for TCFFGM. The site also enables Forever Manchester to offer a tiered selection of donation options, sell tickets for forthcoming events online, build customer profiles of donors, allows site users to publicise the site virally and generates exposure for the Forever Manchester brand of over 20,000 unique visits per week.
