Kentmere school is a primary, infant and nursery school based in Smallbridge, Rochdale. The school has gone through many structural changes and improvements in performance and assessment over the last two years and wanted to publicise these improvements to their local community. The school wanted to express the new ethos, ideas and vision for the school, mainly to parents, as well as providing an information resource that would cut down on the amount of paperwork the school have to use to communicate regular messages to parents.
Frank provided Kentmere with all the tools required to manage the site internally, from text and image content to Flash rotaters and interactive content, meaning that there are no annual site on-costs that need to be allocated. To ensure there is an educational element to the site, Frank designed an interactive quiz which can be managed by administrators at Kentmere and can be used to assess pupils understanding of any topic, from specific project work to general knowledge topics. The site is fully XHTML/CSS validated in accordance with WAI-A guidelines. Frank also developed the new Identity for Kentmere.
