The Venue is an alternative basement nightclub to be found just off Deansgate in Manchester City Centre. Serving up a mixture of contemporary indie and classic funk music, it has an unusual playlist and a select customer to match. The Venue wanted a compact, easily navigable site that would help their new customers to locate their off the beaten track location, enable them to publish the standard club night and news information as well as giving them the tools to stay in touch with their customers on a regular basis.
Frank designed an illustration based on the front of the club so that site users would be able to identify the clubs exterior on first visit, with a tone suitable for an alternative basement club. Frank set up a customer database that can be managed through the back end of the site content management system to capture new customer details, and provided a simple to use CMS so that The Venue can keep their rapidly changing events calendar and news pages updated in-house.
