MCFC OSC are the Manchester City Football Club Official Supporters Club, established in 1949 and the only supporters club affiliated to Manchester City. The OSC wanted a new site that would allow their 100+ branches to set up branch microsites as part of the OSC site umbrella, but would also give each branch the autonomy to manage their branch pages individually. The OSC board also needed full control over the site as a whole to ensure that no inappropriate or legally contentious content was added to their pages by over-enthusiastic branch secretaries!
Frank designed a system for the OSC that allowed 2 levels of local and senior management which enabled the senior administrator to monitor all branch microsite pages before publishing online, giving each branch secretary a unique ID to maintain their branch pages. The OSC site received over 350,000 unique hits in the first year online, which has given the OSC a solid platform to refine and improve the existing site.
